Conscious And Unconscious Motivation

Unconscious motivation- According to Sigmund Freud’s theories of human behavior, he asserts that most of human behavior is as a result of desires, impulses, and memories that have been repressed into an unconscious state, but control human actions. He believed that our minds consists of a tiny conscious part that is always available for direct observation and subconscious part that is responsible for determining human behavior. For example when someone displays negative attitude towards something, he/she is always expressing his unconscious feelings of dislike.

On the other hand Freud said that repressed memories and desires are the major cause of mental disorders and that people who suffer from this, must be assisted to bring back their conscious thoughts. Research has shown that task performance is affected by motivation. By providing performance incentives it decreases the estimate of unconscious processes (Philiph M.Merikle:94-113, 1999).Process dissociation has shown that when performing a task following exclusion instructions, one is not supposed to use perceived or remembered information in their responses. Performance here is determined by a number of times participant fail to comply

This can clearly explain how unconscious people behaves

According to Maslow, unconscious motives and behaviors can be complicated to ones life and to prevent this, it is always important to realize that unconscious motives exists and know how to control them. Psychoanalysis has shown that some people, for example in work place may be performing poorly than others because they posses unconscious feeling of aggression towards authority figures in their work place.

Conscious motivation. Being conscious is to be aware of ones environment and existence, thoughts and sensation.-on the other hand conscious motivation is relatively different from unconscious motivation. New studies by neuroscientists, philosophers and psychologists studied to try and understand emotion and its contribution to the functioning of consciousness. When we are conscious about something we are able to get into a position where we can solve our problem and at the sane time come up with a better solution (TroyA.W 96-116).

Process dissociation procedure that has been used to experiment the effect of motivation in both conscious and unconscious processes to task performance, has clearly shown that, when provided with incentives, the results for the perception task indicated that incentives increased the participants’ ability to exclude previously presented information, which in turn both increased the estimate of conscious processes (Ernest R. Hilgard, 90-113)

Performance in conscious motivation is measured by giving out inclusive instructions; participants are asked to use their perceived or remembered information to give out their results. Performance is measured by a number of times they comply with instructions.

From the findings of both conscious and unconscious motivation it can be concluded that process dissociation procedure is relatively immune to influences of motivation when used with a memory task. Behavior orientation is one of the defining characteristic of human beings. From the research on conscious and unconscious motivation it has been indicated how psychological mechanisms are involved in the planning and execution of motivated social behavior (Kipling D. Williams, Social Motivation, 34-45).

Simple Steps to Self Help Motivation

Have you been looking for resources for self help motivation? If you have found yourself bored with your day to day life or find that you have a lack of energy, then finding self help motivation may be the answer for you. Finding motivation in your life will help you rediscover new ways to live it; and, once you discover how to motivate yourself, you’ll realize just how creative and exciting your life will become.

A friend of mine used to sit around his house on the computer all day. He shut himself off from the outside world in many ways. The more separate he felt, the less motivated he would feel to go out into the world and find ways to stimulate his brain. Needless to say, this became a self-fulfilling cycle. In the end, he felt hopeless and powerless.

What he didn’t understand was that the more he gave into his hopeless feeling, the more he distanced himself from opportunities in the world around him. If you’ve ever felt like that, then you should know that the best thing to break this cycle is to act against your first instinct.

Because you’ve patterned yourself into a certain behavior, the best way to motivate yourself and break that behavior is to behave in new and different ways. You can start small if that makes you feel comfortable. Break up the small habits and rituals in your life.

Once you behave in different ways, you’ll start to feel different things. You’ll start to find motivation to break the same old patterns in your life. You’ll discover that inside you is a person willing to take rewarding risks. Once these risks are rewarded, even though it may take time to find the new behaviors that are most successful for you, you’ll find yourself easily falling into these successful behavioral patterns.

Find gratitude in your small successes. Find hope in the ability to change in accordance with your will and desires. Be determined in pursuing your hopes and dreams. Every journey starts with a single step, so start small and work from there. But don’t be afraid to push your comfort zone at times, because that is how we learn to grow and thrive.

How do i get higher self esteem? Please help!?!?!?!?

I already write in a journal, take hot baths, and listen to music. My stress is SO bad that i lose my appetite and don’t eat anything other than a snack for the whole day. My self esteem is getting in the way of my relationship. And i’m only 13!!! Please help!

I’m glad you are deciding early on to seek improvement. This shows great maturity for your age, and I hope you give yourself credit for taking responsibility. Good for you!

1. If you or your family has a history of anxiety, it can be diet related. I know someone whose anxiety condition was caused by abnormal blood sugar levels, and got medical help to fix the imbalance. Her uncle had diabetes, and another relative had anxiety, and it turns out this ran in the family. So she got help in advance, to prevent from getting the same problems they did.

2. If it is spiritual, in your thoughts or emotions, can you look into the patterns of your relationship with your father or family? It is common for issues of “control” or “desire for approval” to be linked to fears or conflicts passed down from parents as authority-figures. So if you communicate, confront any fears, and reach an understanding, you can overcome any past patterns that may cause repeat insecurity, fear or stress. You will feel empowered by taking steps yourself. (If there were any past issues that made you feel weaker or inferior, if you can “forgive” these causes, and agree in the future not to let this affect you as much, and remember you are a “hero” and not a victim of the past, this method helps many people to move forward with courage and confidence.)

3. Please note that if you feel this is affecting your relationship, your partner may ALSO have patterns with a parent that is repeating like “role-playing.” How you see your parents’ relationships can affect how you treat each other, whether there is an imbalance of control or stress, or you have equal respect and harmony. So this is a good opportunity to study and learn to develop your best strengths, and resolve any weaknesses or conflicts early on, so you can enjoy life and relationships more fully.

Take care, and be sure to track your ideas and progress in your journal. So you can focus on the positive steps you are taking and build from there!

Best wishes
Yours truly,
Emily

P.S. Since you seem so advanced for your age, may I recommend a book that is normally given to high school graduates. “What Color is your Parachute” by Dr. Richard Bolles. The manual is FILLED with fun exercises and charts to evaluate your best interests, skills and talents, and show what jobs use them. So you can start thinking ahead what kind of work or career you would most like to look into. Some kids start a business while they are still in high school. If you can direct your energy and focus on something you enjoy doing well with your natural talents, that may help your esteem at the same time. There is also a manual “You Can Do It” by Lauren Catuzzi Grandcolas full of project and career ideas for young women, step by step. Again, another great resource for researching and visualizing different skills or goals you might like to try out! Go for it!

Business Motivation – 7 Motivation Tips for Business

Business motivation is about motivating employees and customers alike. But like all of the individual or plan, motivation also includes a few basic rules. Let’s see for ourselves 10 rules of the motivation of business you should know:

1 – Improve the knowledge that motivates – You can just go ahead and read a book to improve their level of motivation. Sometimes, when you talk with people who share similar views on topics of their interest in contributing to the achievement of business motivation.

2 – Do you accountable – take responsibility and complete the task assigned to you. This will definitely help you achieve higher levels of entrepreneurial motivation.

3 – Do not be afraid to take risks – ‘No fear of failure “is another popular government of motivation. The more you become afraid of failure, the more you will lose your chance of success. So take risks and stay motivated.

4 – Make a significant contribution – Whatever you do to keep the motivation going strong in their place of work or business, you should make sure to pay long-term rather than search results useless.

5 – Meet your goals-The second rule of business motivation is to carry out their plans and goals. You need to work on anything and everything that crosses their path. In business, there is nothing too small or too large.

6 – No economic benefits of motivation – the Motivation Business is not just money, but much more. Helps you get peace of mind and at the same time, help to better job performance. Of course, that involves monetary gain in the long run, but nothing immediately.

7 – Be willing to learn – the willingness to learn goes a long way to pave the way for business reasons. Once again, learning alone will not help you succeed. You need to apply in reality everything he learned in the passage of time.

Psychological Perspectives in the Modern Age

Since the 1960s, the various methods used by psychologists have changed remarkably. Now, most of them do not identify with any particular school of thought, and prefer to concetrate on a given specialty area instead. They generally use a more universal approach, drawing on ideas from a range of perspectives. What follows are some of the major perspectives that continue to play a role in the development of psychological thought and counseling today:

Through the study of human physiology, psychology gradually evolved and became a separate science, namely biological psychology-a perspective that stresses the biological and physical aspects of man’s behavior. It is enhanced by our present-day ability to do research and come to a greater understanding of the human nervous system and brain. Using tools such as PET amd MRI Scans, scientists can now determine the psychological effects of drugs, brain damage, and disease in a way that was never possible before.

Behavioral psychology is concerned with the way in which human behavior is learned and reinforced by relevant environmental variables. Its principles are generally applied in a mental health setting as counselors and psychiatrists use different techniques to diagnose and treat a wide range of mental illnesses.

The cognitive perspective concentrates on our various mental processes including thinking, decision-making, memory and problem-solving. This approach has become increasingly popular in recent decades, due to the influence of Albert bandura, Jean Piaget, and others.

Cross-cultural researchers and psychologists study human behavior from a cultural perspective, and as a result, they have made important discoveries about the influence society and culture have on the individual’s thinking and related behavior.

Evolutionary researchers and psychologists apply the essential principles of evolution to various psychological phenomena. This approach maintains that certain mental processes have assisted humans in reproduction and survival throughout history.

Influenced by the work of Abraham Maslow, Carl Rogers, and others, the humanistic perspective emphasizes the way in which motivation can influence human thought and behavior. With this approach, the concept of self-actualization is considered to be the key, along with other basic elements.

The psycho-dynamic perspective, which began with Sigmund Freud, focuses on early childhood events, interpersonal relationships, and the unconscious mind as factors in explaining human behavior and treating those who suffer from some form of mental illness.

The goal of researchers and practitioners in the field of psychology is to comprehend and interpret human emotion, thought and behavior. Their studies are based on certain topics or problems to be solved rather than any underlying philosophy, and they freely choose among various perspectives to shed some light on their investigation. Their findings also have practical applications in many areas, including the treatment of mental illness, self-help, and performance enhancement.

How can I handle this jealous best-friend?

So, one of my best friends I’ve known for years and i have been having a fallout of some kind.

Over the past four months, I got fed up with not being confident, not happy with myself and always being ‘out of the loop’ when it cames to friends and parties.

So, unlike him, I did something about it. I took up kick boxing, got a life coach, and started reading books on self-improvement by the truck loads.

Not I’m in phenomenal shape, very goal-oriented, and my social circle is large and expanding, I can finally get girls (a lot of them) and I’m extremely happy.

He’s not.
He never tried to improve himself, and is always getting mad at me and calling me out. calling me a ’sell out,’ and such. telling me I ditched him for the ‘cool kids.’

He’s been my friend forever, but I’m getting sick of this. I’ve tried to motivate him but he’s not having it

How do I handle this situation?

Well I would suggest that you either help him out in order for them to want to be friends with him too ( if you want to continue being friends with him)
other than that if he doesnt understand that you want to better yourself and he doesnt want to accept it then thats his problem and thats good for you that you better’ed yourself so that you could live the life that you want!!
If he cant handle it and doesnt want to live better for himself then sorry but forget about him then….
Or just give him space and he’ll come around when he realizes that he is loosing a good friend.
hope i helped and i know the truth hurts but thats why its the truth?
good luck!! : )

What Employees Want

Most people spend the majority of their time at work. Consequently, how the employees feel and behave, inside and outside work, is at times driven by the dynamics of the work environment. When managers understand and apply motivational techniques they can increase employee productivity, employee creativity, and employee loyalty and satisfaction.

It is necessary for managers to understand and practice basic motivational techniques in order to effectively manage their staff. The best known motivational theory is likely Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs (see figure of pyramid below)

Motivation Theory Fundamentals
Psychologist Abraham Maslow first introduced his concept of a hierarchy of needs in his 1943 paper “A Theory of Human Motivation” and in his subsequent book, Motivation and Personality. His model suggests that people are motivated to fulfill basic needs before moving on to other needs. Using common sense in a logical and methodical model, Maslow depicted the driving forces behind human motivation.

At the lowest levels of the pyramid are the most basic needs, while the more complex needs are located at the top of the pyramid. Needs at the bottom of the pyramid are basic physical requirements including the need for food, water, and sleep. Once these lower-level needs have been met, people can move on to the next level of needs, which are for safety and security. As people progress up the pyramid, needs become increasingly psychological and social.

Soon, the need for love, friendship and intimacy become important. Further up the pyramid, the need for personal self-esteem and feelings of accomplishment take priority.

Maslow emphasized the importance of self-actualization, which is a process of growing and developing as a person to achieve individual potential.

Abraham Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs

Maslow categorized human needs into 5 areas:

Survival: Need for food, water, and shelter. This includes medical services, electricity, transportation and phones, all of which can be jeopardized by natural disasters.

Safety/Security: Need for protection (military, police, fire-department and insurance), employment, health, property.

Social/Belonging: Need of family, friends, co-workers and associations.

Self-Esteem: Need for appreciation, recognition, respect of others, and respect by others.

Self-Actualization: Need for self fulfillment and happiness, which is mostly met through career, marriage and parenthood.

Maslow did more than just categorization. He stated that these needs do not have equal force all the time. For example, when a hurricane threatens our need for survival and safety/security, that becomes our number one priority

However, for most people in America most of the time, the survival and safety/security needs are met with the help of local police, fire department, local governments, hospitals, employers, the military, and other public utility companies. These needs become merely basic expectations that people pay little attention to. What people care about and are motivated by are the three highest level needs in the pyramid.

Employers satisfy Maslow’s fundamental survival and safety/security needs primarily through a paycheck and benefits plan: Earnings and Benefits are used to buy groceries, get shelter and insure against other life’s necessities.

In the workplace, the highest-level need of self-actualization and much of the employee self-esteem are met through the work itself: Job Quality: employee recognition, employee contributions, reward systems, and company culture. Managers can contribute to an employee’s need for self-actualization by creating workplace and learning opportunities for the employee career advancement.

Managers can also address the social/belonging, and self-esteem needs with workplace support (supervision, teamwork, and recognition). The following section lists 12 simple but proven techniques that managers can use to motivate employees. Each technique can be easily categorized into an area within the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs model.

Management Tips to increase Employee Motivation

Pay employees fairly and well and they will forget about money.

Once this basic need is met, it becomes a lower priority in the employee’s mind. The employee will be satisfied with the fair wages and will focus his/her attention on contributing to the team and being recognized for his/her efforts (job quality). When employees are not compensated fairly they continue to struggle financially to make ends meet. This becomes an obstacle for the employee’s motivation. The employee may have to find additional part-time work, may have to requesting over-time work or eventually seek employment elsewhere. It costs money when organizations need to take the time to find, interview, hire, and train new employees. There are also hidden costs when an employee leaves the organization. The vacant position responsibilities may need to be picked up by the available staff , overall staff productivity may be affected, and the staff stress level increases. This in turn adds the risk to lose other valuable employees.

Treat every employee with respect. Show the employees that the organization cares about each employee as a person and not just as a worker.

Employees are more productive when they feel good about themselves. When employees do not feel respected or appreciated for their work contribution, their work has no meaning and the employees become discouraged and eventually leave the company.

Communicate clear goals, responsibilities, and expectations.

Write each goal down on a page. Each goal should be clearly stated in 250 words or less. Prioritize goals and only assign reasonable but achievable goals within a timeline. Ensure that the staff clearly understands goal completion timelines and what is expected of them. Assign employee accountability and ensure the employee understands how important his/her contribution is.

Praise staff accomplishments and any attempts made towards the achievement of goals.

Be on the lookout to praise accomplishments soon after they occur. Praise any efforts used to accomplish any goals. Sometimes trying alone provides invaluable lessons. Be Careful! Do Not be on the lookout to punish mistakes. This is a behavior of bad managers. Set a good example, be a leader and do not imitate bad behavior.

Make reprimands as needed but in a cautious way.

Never criticize the person but the behavior. Everyone makes mistakes. Turn the mistake into an opportunity for the employee to learn how to do it better next time. Never reprimand in public – redirect in private. Let the staff hear that they are important to the organization and have the needed management support and tools to do a better job next time.

Recognize performance appropriately and consistently.

Praising does not need to take up more than one minute. The mere gesture of praising tells the staff that their contribution matters. Avoid delayed praising. Capture the moment. Praise the staff in public. Employees need meaning in the work they do or they will do a mediocre job. People have the need for continuous feedback.

Involve employees in plans and decisions, especially those that affect them.

Solicit employees’ ideas and opinions. Get them involved and make them feel part of the team. Encourage initiative. By doing this, employees will feel that their opinion matters to the team and the organization and will feel the urge to make a contribution.

Create opportunities for employees to learn and grow.

Link organizational goals with the goals assigned to each individual. Ensure the staff understands the value they bring to the company. Make them feel they are an important part of the team. One of the greatest accomplishments of a manager is to prepare his staff to step up to greater responsibilities within the organization. Effective managers encourage their subordinates interests in other areas of the company. Companies prefer to grant career growth opportunities to existing employees. This promotes good employee morale and usually results in the selection of capable candidates that will hit the ground running. Bad managers stifle employee creativity and limit employee opportunity in fear of losing their own job. This behavior negatively affects managers in the long run.

Actively listen to staff concerns – both work related and personal.

Make the staff feel that they have a manager they can talk to about anything that may interfere with their work or personal life. By being sensitive to a staff personal concern (example: divorce, death in the family), and by making any necessary accommodations to help the staff feel less stress, managers help to increase staff loyalty.

Share information promptly, openly, and clearly.

Tell the truth and with compassion. The rumor mill exists and employees use it to hear some version of the disseminated information. Trying to keep information hidden from employees, especially if the information affects them, only projects a management image of deception that diminishes trust. By telling employees information they need to hear, a manager can defuse any misunderstanding that creates unnecessary stress and that reduces employee productivity.

Celebrate successes and milestones reached – both organizational and personal.

Create an organizational culture that is open, trusting, and fun. Be on the lookout to praise successes, not on the lookout to punish mistakes.

Never say anything negative about the company or other employees.

Employees get discouraged if they hear their manager venting negatively about other employees or the company. Managers represent the organization and have access to information that the staff does not. When managers speak negatively about the organization, the staff hears that is time to seek employment elsewhere; When managers speak negatively about other employees, the staff begins to question the manager’s trust. Never talk negatively about anyone or the organization. The rumor mill will ensure that everyone hears a grave version of what was said.

In conclusion, by continually applying these simple motivational techniques managers will develop employee trust, will increase employee productivity, will increase employee satisfaction and employee loyalty. The final outcome will be a team of very productive and satisfied employees.

The Five Steps of Creating Your Vision Board

A vision board is typically a collage of images or words that you’ve assembled representing your deepest goals, dreams and desires. The idea behind this is that when you surround yourself with images of who you want to become, what you want to have, where you want to live, or where you want to vacation, your life changes to match those images and those desires.

Bob Proctor from the movie ‘The Secret’ explains that “Everything that’s coming into your life you are attracting into your life. And it’s attracted by virtue of the images you’re holding in your mind. It’s what you’re thinking. Whatever is going on in your mind you are attracting to you.”

The utilization of a Vision Board is so effective, because it guides the images you are holding in your mind! You see, your mind works like a magnet; that which you focus your mind on grows and manifests into your life in the form of events, people or circumstances that will assist you in reaching your goals.

More…”For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he” – Proverbs 23:7.

The human brain receives thousands of pieces of information a second, flooding in from the senses. It is said that we have daily some 60,000 thoughts and many of those are the same we had yesterday. So by having a vision board we can begin to determine the thoughts we want to focus our lives on and manifest into our lives.

This process works by way of what is called the Reticular Activating System. The Reticular Activating System filters through all these pieces of input and decides which messages receive top priority and full attention.

When setting personal goals, especially after committing them to writing, the brain has a specific subject or task brought to the forefront.

So if you then repeatedly think about, and re-write the goals, the brain is focused and suddenly becomes aware of related matters and needed resources which are important in the realization of the goal.

Anthony Robbins in his book ‘Awaken the Giant Within’ explains that “This shift in mental posture aligns you more precisely with your goals. Once you decide that something is a priority, you give it tremendous emotional intensity, and by continually focusing on it, any resource that supports its attainment will eventually become clear.”

Buddha taught about the Law of Attraction – “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become” Buddha 562-483 B.C.

Studies show that only 4% of the population set goals for themselves. So it’s little wonder that most people never really get to where they want to because they don’t have and clear picture of what it is they want.

The scary result of the consequences of not having a clear picture of where you want to go is illustrated by insurance industry statistics. Of 100 people who reach retirement age, only one will be wealthy. Four out of the hundred will be financially independent; fifteen will have some savings put aside. And the other 80 will be dependent on pensions, still working or broke – this after a lifetime of well-paid work in the most affluent society in human history.

“If you don’t design your own life plan, chances are you’ll fall into someone else’s plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much.” ~ Jim Rohn

If you want to not be one of the eighty who is average then here are some simple steps to Creating a Vision Board:

Step 1: Set aside some quiet time with a pen and a notebook so that you can write down all the goals, experiences, dreams, and things you want to own in your life. This will form the basis of your dream board. Once you have an idea of what you want in your dream board you need to go and find the pictures to represent them. Common places to look are magazine, advertising material and the internet. Have fun compiling the pictures and phrases that inspire you.

Step 2: Go through the images you’ve collected and sort them out according to the ones that most inspire and motivate you. Obviously you would also want the vision board to represent some of your most important goals or ones that you most want to accomplish in the short term, mixed in with longer term goals and dreams. You want to start to lay them out on the piece of card board and see how it looks. There is no right or wrong way to sort out your vision board. Some people like to have a picture of themselves in the middle and their pictures scattered all around them. Others like to go with themes such as spiritual, financial etc placed in each corners of the board others just like to scatter the pictures on the board without any real theme.

Step 3: Glue everything onto the board. You don’t have to keep to only pictures, if you feel the need to add your own creativity to the board by writing on it, painting on it then go ahead. This is your vision board and you can do whatever you think is going to best motivate and inspire you.

Step 4: Now that you have completed your vision board you want to put it somewhere that you will see often. It will serve no real purpose if you need to go searching for it. Some useful places to put your vision board are your bedroom where you will see it morning and night, or the bathroom door. The most important thing to bear in mind is that it is somewhere you will see it often to remind you of your visions and goals for your life.

Finding Accredited Programs for Learning Sign Language Online

While learning sign language seems challenging at first, after you begin you’ll see that it is easily picked up. There are quite a few who believe that learning to sign is much easier than learning another spoken language. For even easier results in learning sign language, be sure to follow these tips. It’s a rewarding course of study, and there are many advantages to learning sign language in today’s world.

Depending on what you need it for, the way you learn sign language will vary. If you are doing it as a hobby, or maybe to talk to a deaf friend, you can learn at your own pace. However, if you want to learn it to become an interpreter or for another career purpose, you will have to get certified.

This usually means taking classes at a university, but today you can also find accredited programs online. It is often easier to learn in a physical classroom, however, since the nature of sign language means that you must observe the instructor carefully. You can still pick this up watching through your computer if taking classes in person can’t work for you. If this is your goal, there are lots of schools that offer sign language certification.

Since it takes quite a bit of practice to learn sign language effectively, you may want to look for a partner to study with. It’s a good idea to take a class with your learning partner or download the same program in addition to regular practice sessions. This can be someone you go to school with, work with, have regular coffee breaks with, or another family members who wants to learn sign language. Having a partner allows you to not only practice signing regularly but also to keep each other motivated. Look online through social networks to find a partner to practice signing with if you can’t find someone on your own. It’s much easier to learn when you have someone doing it with you.

It’s very helpful to watch sign language as much as possible when you want to learn. Observing others is the next best thing when you can’t actually practice it yourself. Find TV programs, videos, or movies that show people signing. Many TV shows today are close captioned, which means that there’s seldom a sign language interpreter. There are movies where people are signing, however. If you look on the internet, you can find a variety of videos and websites that display it. You must expose yourself to sign language as much as you can if you want to learn.

In conclusion, there are now many ways to learn sign language depending on your motivations and whether or not you need certification. Be patient with yourself as you begin learning this fascinating language, as it requires you to acquire a whole new way of using language.

The above tips will help you as you learn sign language, and you will find that as you practice you’ll become much more comfortable.

What does this mean ?

It says :

Some people believe that there should be fixed punishments for each type of crime. Others, however, argue that the circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should always be taken into account when deciding on the punishment.

What are fixed punishments ? What’s the meaning of ” circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. ”

Please use words as soon as easy to explain this, because English is not my first language. Thank you very much !

A fixed punishment means that no matter what the circumstances, the person who committed the crime gets that punishment.

” circumstances of an individual crime, and the motivation for committing it, should be taken into account when deciding on the punishment. ” this means that the court should look at why the person committed the crime before deciding on the punishment.

For example if a person stole £100. There might be a fixed punishment a £1000 fine.
If you take the circumstances and motivation into account – perhaps the person was a destitute single mother and needed the £100 to buy food for her baby and to pay the rent. In that case there is no way she could pay the fine, and the court might decide she needs help not punishment.

Valuable Self Motivation Tips for Home Business Entrepreneurs

Creating a home business suggests freedom. Freedom from punching a time clock, freedom from an overbearing boss, freedom from irritating co-workers, making a living from working from home means freedom; right? Yes, a home business provides liberation from the rules and demands of a regular job. No one is going to yell at you with regards to coming in tardy or even leaving ahead of time. No one is going to tell you that you can not wear your favorite hat or shorts into the office and no one is going to be tapping his or her wrist watch suggesting you have taken a long lunch break.

Remaining motivated is probably the most common issues facing small business owners. It can be rather frustrating when no immediate, good results are seen after spending a lot of time during the early phases of the business. Some individuals end up so aggravated, they quit. Remaining motivated facing no or limited small business success is crucial to make the business work. Business owners need to have an intense desire to be successful, utilizing beneficial time management skills to improve their productivity. Listed here are three strategies to keep small Business Motivation high:

1. Remain Next to Your Reason Why.

Remembering the reasons for setting up your small business usually proves to be motivational. The freedoms owning a business gives you, the infinite possibilities for income along with the chance to accomplish some unmet goals with that money are common reasons for starting a small business. Many think it is beneficial to make these motives visible and examine them daily through the use of a list or perhaps snapshot collage

2. Praise Your Advances.

Constructive encouragement is an effective motivational approach. Meaningful incentives for the achievement of major milestones serve as constructive reinforcements. A weekend retreat is usually fantastic motivation and serves a dual function. It really is a type of positive reinforcement and also a way to refresh and reenergize. Operating a home business can be more mentally and physically demanding compared to working in a conventional job.
To hold your edge it is important to layout your work schedule with frequent breaks. You’ll be amazed just how rejuvenating a fifteen or thirty minute break can be to re-energize you and keep your motivation high. Taking a brief walk around the block, doing some stretching movements, or even quickly weeding a garden on a breezy afternoon are actually great methods to “get the creative juices flowing.” Lots of desk work, composing, or working online makes many sleepy and ready for a nap. Taking a break will assist you to restore focus and concentration at mid-day or later in the day (also perfect for night time work).

Home business owners commonly struggle to stay motivated in an environment that necessitates much more of them than those working a regular job. Continuing to keep their reasons behind starting a home business close, rewarding them for the advancement they make and reserving frequent breaks in their work day are excellent approaches to keep motivation high.

Success is a journey, not a destination.

Success comes in cans; failure in can’ts.

Success humbles the great man, astonishes the common man, and puffs up the little man.

Coming together is a start; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

Remember that overnight success usually takes about fifteen years.

There’’s no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.

Never discuss your success with people less successful than you.

Judge your success by the degree that you’re enjoying peace, health and love.

Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.

Success is more attitude than aptitude.
